Due to mass promotion in Std. 10, there is a problem of admission in Std. Admission process in science stream will be central. But students are having difficulty getting admission in general stream. Leading schools of Ahmedabad give priority to their students before the admission in Std. 11 general stream. In the schools which do not have Std. 11-12, there is a problem in admission to the students of those schools. Many students do not get admission in general stream in good schools even though they are 95th percentile. In the previous years, the result of the board was announced in Std. 10, as about 30% of the students failed in it, so it was easy to get admission in Std. While the number of students passing in schools has increased this year, students have to apply in 3-4 schools for admission in Std.
