The BJP will announce its candidates for the local body and municipal elections in the state from this evening. Candidates from the BJP office will go to their election officials tomorrow to fill up the forms. There were 60 to 70 activists vying for each of the 576 seats. It also has a curriculum vitae list. This was announced by BJP state president CR Patil in a press conference. He said that any office bearer in the organization who has asked for a ticket will have to resign if he gets a ticket and the seat will be filled immediately. Candidates will be informed about the ticket by e-mail. As well as these candidates will fill up the form tomorrow (February 5) at Vijay Muhurat i.e. 12 hours 39 minutes.

It may be mentioned that the names of the panel selected by the BJP have reached PM Modi and Amit Shah. Candidates will be announced in the evening.

BJP will not give tickets to brothers, nieces and nephews
The BJP has changed the rules for selection of candidates for the local body elections, including 6 Municipal Corporations, to be held on February 21 and has taken a tough decision. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Parliamentary Board chaired by Chief Minister Rupani, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and chaired by state president Patil. Patil said that three important decisions have been taken in the parliamentary board not to give tickets to activists above 60 years of age, not to give tickets to those who have completed 3 terms and not to give tickets to relatives of leaders.

A list of 16 names per ward was sent
Under the initiative of the state BJP, a team of three inspectors was sent to 6 municipal areas as well as panchayat and municipal areas across the state. Observers have compiled a list of 16 names per ward after taking sense from the activists. A panel has been formed for each ward, a list of which has been submitted. The High Command has sent a delegation to the city, panchayat, municipal area MP, MLA, President and General Secretary to discuss the list. At the end of the deliberations, a list of 16 names has been prepared and sent, which will be announced at a meeting of the Region Parliamentary Board on February 4.

More than 20 senior leaders will be cut in Ahmedabad
