Amazon India launches Amazon Academy app for JEE candidates, students will be able to avail live lectures and learning materials for free
Amazon India has launched a platform called Amazon Academy for candidates preparing for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). This application will provide coaching to the students preparing for JEE for exam preparation. With this app, Amazon has taken a step towards investing in the education business. The app will offer live lectures, curated learning materials, comprehensive assessments, etc. for JEE.
Initially coaching will be provided for free
The app will now mainly prepare for the entrance exam in engineering. However, other subjects may also be involved in coaching later. The special thing is that right now everything will be available for free. That means learning materials, online courses, assessment modules etc. will all be free.
The exam will be held 4 times this year
This time JEE Mains will be taken four times a year. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the first phase examination between February 23 and 26. For the first time JEE Mains exam will be conducted in 13 Indian languages including Hindi along with English. These include Assamese, Oriya, Telugu, Tamil and Urdu.
There has also been a major change in terms of attempts in the exam. The first exam will now be held in February (between 23 and 26), the second in March, the third in April and the fourth in May. Negative markings have been removed from objective questions this time as well.
